Behzad Shekastehband

I received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Civil Engineering in 2000 and 2003, respectively, and Ph.D. degree in Structural Engineering from Sahand University of Technology in 2011. Currently, I serve as an Associate Professor of Structural Engineering at Urmia University of Technology. During my career I have authored and co-authored over Fourty peer-reviewed research articles published in the leading engineering journals and prominent conferences. I have also successfully co-authored three peer-reviewed books about structural stability published by SUT Press and a peer-reviewed book on Tensegrity structures published by UUT Press. I was a member of scientific committees of the 4th national conference on Spatial Structures and the 12th national congress on Civil Engineering . I am frequently invited to judge the work of others in my field by high-status journals and conferences. I am also frequently invited to give lectures in the field of Space Structures. In 2008, 2009, and 2011, I won the best student and best researcher awards of the Sahand University of Technology. In 2011, I was also awarded the Active Researcher prize of East Azarbaijan province.
