Welcome to my personal website. My name is Farid Momayezi. I hold a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Faculty of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran. Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor in the Industrial Engineering Department at Urmia University of Technology. My doctoral research focused primarily on optimization models for hub location problems under disruption, developing advanced models and solution algorithms. My PhD dissertation and subsequent work have extensively explored challenges such as hub disruptions, capacity modularity, and uncertain demands. My main research interests include logistics and supply chain network design, sustainable energy systems management for smart homes, and optimization under uncertainty using stochastic programming and heuristic algorithms.

The results of my research have been published in various reputable, peer-reviewed journals. In addition to my academic research and teaching which covers courses like Integer Programming, Stochastic Programming, and Supply Chain Management, I have substantial industrial experience. I have worked as a Materials Planning and Project Control Specialist for major companies like the MAPNA Group, where I applied optimization and planning principles to real-world engineering projects. I am always open to collaboration on interesting research projects and consulting opportunities in the areas of optimization, supply chain management, and energy systems.
